STEVENS POINT, Wis. (WAOW) — The 27th annual Portage County Cultural Festival was held at Stevens Point Area Senior High on Saturday. It celebrated diversity and the heritage of Wisconsin residents.

The event showcased around 40 different cultures from around the world with things like displays, clothing vendors, food vendors, and live shows.

Around 15,000 people were able to enjoy the festival and organizers for the event said it’s truly a celebration of all walks of life.

“It’s easy to stay within your own group and so this is a real way of meeting other people who are right here in our community,” festival volunteer Liz Fulton said. “As well as in communities around and learning about their culture.”

Over 400 volunteers from around the state helped make the event possible.
