March 20 was the first day of spring and I am really looking for signs of spring this year. Unfortunately, most of the signs of spring include flooded fields and roads and mud.
But someone saw a robin last week and we put our snow blower in the machine shed.
We still need extra gates chained to the existing gates to keep the cows from walking over gates and fences. The grass is visible in places, so hopefully winter is done.
Upcoming events include:
o Tuesday morning coffee hours begin in April in Trimont.
o Ceylon’s Community Day will be April 13.
o Relay for Life committee meeting will be April 1.
o Welcome Historical Society will open the museum April 6.
o Welcome Historical Society will have its annual meeting April 23.
o Welcome has designated May 11 as cleanup day.
All of these are sure signs of spring.
