GLACE BAY, N.S. —
There will be plenty to do at this year’s Marcus Garvey Festival.
The fun begins on Thursday at 1 p.m. with a Kwanzaa workshop which is a celebration of family, community and culture. On the same day, there will be a flea market and barbecue from 6-9 p.m. along with a community meet and greet.
All events are hosted by the Glace Bay UNIA at their offices at 35 Jessome St.
On Friday, the day will begin with face painting from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. and at noon there will be a barbecue. From 12-4 p.m., there will be games and a water slide. From 6-9 p.m., there will be a community meet and greet. Again, all events are being hosted by the Glace Bay UNIA on Jessome Street.
