Kesh was abuzz with people last weekend as two festivals provided double the fun in the village.

Kicking off festivities early, Kesh Community Festival began on Wednesday, August 14 and ran until Sunday, August 18 with a fantastic series of events including a fancy dress parade, pig racing and the ever-popular tractor run.

The legacy of Kesh Carnival continued with a new format for this year. Hosted by North Fermanagh Cricket and Football Club (NFCAFC), the festival ran across the weekend alongside Kesh Community Festival. A highlight of this year’s Kesh Carnival were the family fun days, which took place on Saturday and Sunday and provided entertainment for all ages with face-painting, rock-climbing and archery. Live music took place at the clubhouse throughout the weekend with performances from ‘Doctor, Doctor,’ a duo featuring Luke Burns on acoustic guitar/vocals and Eóin Parkinson on electric guitar. Johnny Kay officially closed the Carnival with a live performance on Sunday evening, rounding up a great weekend of family-friendly fun.
