NEWPORT —Looking for your fifteen seconds of fame? Or maybe just some cheese fries? Either way, your best bet may be at this weekend’s food truck festival at Fort Adams State Park.

They will be filming May 18th so get your Tickets, VIP & VIB packages to be a part of the ACTION.”

 

 

 

Newport is joining the Food Truck Festivals of America (FTFA) tour for the first time this year, featuring food trucks and craft beer vendors from around the region.

The festival is scheduled to take place at Fort Adams State Park Saturday, May 18, from noon until 5 p.m. with a VIP hour from 11 a.m.-12 p.m.

More than 50 food trucks and craft beer vendors will be available. Some of the participating trucks include: Hometown Poke, Macray’s Seafood, Red’s, Trolley Dogs, Shishkaberrys, Cousins Maine Lobster, Chick-fil-A New England, Cape Cod Cannolis, Kowloon Mobile, Local Scoop, Da Bomb Truck, The Bacon Truck, Mike’s Clam Jam, Dinora’s Catering, GottaQ BBQ and Poppy’s Waffles.

Craft breweries at the festival will include Toppling Goliath, Lawson’s Finest Liquids, Citizen Cider, Great Divine, Epic, Uinta, Stormalong, Jack’s Abby, Lord Hobo, Down the Road, Mighty Squirrel, Exhibit A, Zero Gravity, 21st Amendment and more.

General admission tickets are available for purchase in advance online for $5, or at the gate for $10. Tickets are also available in advance for $5 at Discover Newport.

Special ticket packages are available online only until the day of the festival. VIP tickets include early admission at 11 a.m., a free FTFA koozie, free water and a free dessert from Local Scoop food truck for $25, online only. VIB tickets include early admission at 11 a.m., a free koozie, free water, three craft beers of your choice and a free dessert from Local Scoop food truck for $40, online only.

Children 12 and under have free general admission. All first responders will be welcomed at no charge with a valid ID.
