REPORTER: THE DAVIS PRIDE FEST FEATURES FUN RUNS, VENDOR FAIRS AND ENTERTAINMENT. ALSO, PAYING TRIBUTE TO THE STONEWALL RIOTS. AN UPRISING AGAINST POLICE RAID IN NEW YORK. >> WE THINK IT IS IMPORTANT FOR EVERYBODY TO REMEMBER THAT HISTORY, ESPECIALLY YOUNG PEOPLE TODAY, MANY OF THEM PART OF THE COMMUNITY ARE NOT AWARE. Soggy weather doesn’t put damper on Davis Pride Festival

Soggy weather Sunday didn’t stop crowds from flocking to the pride festival in Davis.This was the first time it rained during the annual event, but organizers say the wet weather didn’t dampen their spirits.“We could’ve postponed it, we could’ve done all of that. But we were just thinking, over the last 50 years it’s been a struggle for the LGBTQ community, so we wanted to make sure that, no, we stand strong also,” said Pride Director Sandre Nelson.Watch the video above for the full story.
