From Erica of Twine Events:
Holiday celebrations will be smaller this year, but it doesn’t mean you can’t be festive with an intimate group. Support your local small business and rent or invest in tabletop pieces you could use this holiday and all year round even better. If you already have china you love to use, have fun with flowers or the little details. Also, don’t be afraid to experiment with textiles and patterns! Pattern play has become a fun trend. It is festive and can still feel elevated.
As a planner, I love to be able to mix and match pieces and incorporate ways to make your loved ones feel seen. For example, consider what your conversation starter could be! The traditional UK Christmas Cracker is a DIY detail that serves as a decor piece and interactive element. Fill up with the traditional tiny toy/gift, paper crown, and maybe instead of a joke consider a sweet question that involves the people at your table. You can also never go wrong with whipping up a few cocktails and/or mocktails for the group. A simple gin and tonic has never looked so festive with a red bow on the stem! Glasses are another way to display a place card and they make for a great photo op for the guest. Overall, guests love personalized moments!
