Since it was established in 2004, the 1927 theatre company (of London and Margate) has gained an international reputation with hit shows such as The Animals and Children Took to the Streets, which fuse animation, live performance and live music. With its latest productions, entitled Roots, this winning combination is applied to folk tales in a European premiere that is bound to become a hit show of this year’s Edinburgh International Festival.
