The streets will be filled with a whole host of festive treats, stalls and amusements from 10am.
The smell of chestnuts roasting will be in the air as visitors enjoy fairground rides, entertainment and stalls selling all sorts of Christmas food and craft gifts.
Coastal Voices Choir will perform at 11am and 1pm, and there will also be performances from morris dancers.
Children will be able to visit Father Christmas in his grotto, and there will be a lantern walk starting at 4pm on High Street, making its way to Priory Church of St Mary for a carol service at 4.30pm.
Many of the Old Town’s shopkeepers, stall holders and residents will be in Victorian dress and they are inviting visitors to join them in their own Dickensian outfits.
A dress made of map pages and lit with tiny lights can be seen on display in the Alex May gallery window on the High Street to highlight the festival and lantern parade.
