You have a few days left to donate to the Cincinnati Coffee Festival’s “Fill the Cup” fundraiser, which, per a release, “lets participants help combat food insecurity, protect drinking water and support local coffee shops.”
Throughout December, the event has been raising money at cincinnaticoffeefestival.com to split between the Ohio River Foundation and the Freestore Foodbank. (The Ohio River Foundation presents the annual Cincinnati Coffee Festival, canceled this year due to COVID.)
For a $20 donation, you know you’re doing good, but you can also get some good things in return. Show you receipt at various coffee shops around town and get a discount or other special perks.
“In this time of COVID-19, food needs have exploded around our region, which sparked the decision to partner with Freestore Foodbank for ‘Fill the Cup,’” said Rich Cogen, ORF’s executive director. “We also want to support local coffee shops, which have been negatively impacted by the pandemic.”

The next Cincinnati Coffee Festival is slated to occur Oct. 23-24, 2021 at Music Hall. The event usually raises $50,000 to help the ORF and its mission to protect, improve and restore the water quality and ecology of the Ohio River and its watershed.
As they say, “Without great water, you can’t have great coffee.”
