Democrats are pretty adamant that you know this election is over. Be the politicians, the media, or randos on Twitter who are pestering almost every tweet I write with reminders that Trump lost and that I’m a loser/idiot/racist/crybaby for not going along with that narrative, the left wants you to settle into the fact that Joe Biden is your president-elect, like it or not.
He’s not. Nothing’s been called and even as we speak, states are very close with Trump gaining ground every hour.
Democrats can’t seem to handle it. As Trump gains more ground, the attacks ramp up. “Anonymous sources” are coming out of the woodwork to tell you that everyone from Jared Kushner to “senior level staffers” are trying to convince Trump to concede. That’s about as likely as my dog making me a cup of coffee.
But it’s all in an effort to demoralize Trump voters and have the entire nation just accept that the election is over despite all the oddities, glitches, and affidavits that outright say fraud was going on. The end goal is clear; “accept the results you racist idiot.”
The answer to that is no and if the Democrats are going to be this nasty about it then perhaps I should remind them who set the precedent. Or more accurately, Mitch McConnell should.
The Senate Majority leader took to the Senate floor and addressed the Democrats directly, reminding them that they still haven’t even accepted the results of the 2016 election. Not only that, they were pre-set not to accept the result of the 2020 election:
“More broadly, let’s have no lectures about how the President should immediately, cheerfully accept preliminary election results from the same characters who just spent four years refusing to accept the validity of the last election,” McConnell later said. “And who insinuated this one would be illegitimate, too, if they lost again. Let’s have no lectures on this subject from that contingent.”
“In late August, Secretary Hillary Clinton said, quote, ‘Joe Biden should not concede under any circumstances… I think this is going to drag out, and… he will win if we don’t give an inch,’” McConnell continued. “That same month, Speaker Pelosi and the Democratic Leader both stated, quote, ‘[President Trump] needs to cheat to win.’ In October, when Speaker Pelosi was shopping some conspiracy theory about the Postal Service, she recklessly said, quote, ‘I have no doubt that the president… will lie, cheat, and steal, to win this election.’”
“Does this sound like a chorus that has any credibility to say a few legal challenges from President Trump represent some kind of crisis?” he added. “At this time last week, small-business owners in cities across America were boarding up their windows in case President Trump appeared to win and far-left mobs decided to reprise their summertime rioting. Suffice to say a few legal inquiries from the President do not exactly spell the end of the Republic.”

For one is the obvious hypocrisy from Democrats who believed for the longest time in absolute resistance to anything President Donald Trump did or said. He could have pet a puppy in the middle of the street and it would have resulted in outrage because he didn’t pet it correctly.
I don’t want to hear anything from Democrats about how we should be more accepting of the election seeing as how they can’t accept loss even when it’s clear that no one cheated.
Secondly, I don’t want to hear about how Trump not accepting election results as “dangerous” to the Republic is a thing when Democrats stood by, if not applauded, the destruction of American businesses and livelihoods because they somehow thought it would get justice for a guy who died of a drug overdose while in police custody. Many of these neighborhoods were black neighborhoods. Where’s their justice?
Their justice would be Democrats losing this still ongoing election.
The absolute hypocrisy from Democrats is good fuel for a fire of actual resistance to this idea that Biden is our president-elect. If they won’t accept it, neither will we, only we have very good reason not to.
