ELY, MN– Ely’s Winter Festival will be making a return starting on Thursday, featuring numerous events and activities.
The festival is centered around the “Snow Sculpting Symposium.” Twelve teams from Canada and the Midwest create sculptures made of snow throughout the city.
Other events include live music, a skating rink, and snowshoeing.
The festival runs through February 16.
Funding for the festival comes from several grants and sponsors, including the Minnesota State Arts Board and the Ely Chamber of Commerce.
