A talented group of Fort Bend ISD students were recently honored at the annual Texas State Thespian Festival. Held virtually this year due to COVID-19, organizers say hundreds of drama students and teachers from across the state came together online over four weekends last Autumn for workshops and master class performances. Students participated in individual and group events and competitions that were streamed to online audiences, The festival also offered students the opportunity to audition for college theater programs and compete for scholarships, officials said.

Three Fort Bend ISD high school students were awarded scholarships including Ridge Point High School student Myles Keys who earned a $2,000 scholarship. In addition, Caitlyn Harris from Austin High School and Pradanya Subramanyan from Clements High School were each awarded $1,500 scholarships.
