Live investigations will be broadcast from around the world while celebrities will take part in question and answer sessions at Festival Of The Unexplained, which usually takes place in Stourbridge.

The festival’s organiser, Karen Fray, said ghost fans can expect at least 38 hours of entertainment across Saturday and Sunday, all of which will be free to watch.

Mrs Fray, 38, originally from Worcestershire, said: “We will be doing interviews, presentations, some live ghost walks in the UK and America.”

Among them will be a “walk and talk” around the notoriously haunted Eloise Asylum, in Michigan, USA and a”live ghost walk” from Gettysburg, in Pennsylvania, USA, on Saturday night.

There will also be live investigations held from locations in the UK.

Leading names from the industry will be appearing in the festival line-up, including American TV host Nick Groff, who starred in Ghost Adventures; Phil and Sara Whyman, from Most Haunted; Jayne Harris and Barri Ghai, from Help My House Is Haunted; and Dr Ciaran O’Keeffe, a renowned parapsychologist.

The festival, which has been running for two years, is being held online this year due to the current coronavirus pandemic.

The event will be screened live to Facebook, through the festival’s website and on YouTube, to cater for people who do not use social media.

“We weren’t planning on doing another one but because it went down so well and people were asking ‘when is the next one going to be’, we decided to do another one.

“But because it was so successful, and that many people wanted to be part of it, it was only 16 hours, this time we are doing 38 hours.”

Organisers hope to hold a real festival from The Bonded Warehouse, in Stourbridge, on March 6.

The festival this weekend begins at 10am on Saturday and runs continuously through to 6pm on Sunday.
