SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – The fifth annual GI Film Festival will feature over 30 films that are either for, by or about service members and veterans.

These films showcase the hidden history, talent and dedication of our military members.

Steve Maloney, Executive Producer, Project Creator and Contemporary Artist for “Take Me Home Huey,” and Jodi Cilley, Founder and President of Film Consortium San Diego were at KUSI to tell us about the festival.

“Take Me Home Huey” – GI Film Festival San Diego’s Opening Night Screening & Reception (directed by Alicia H. Brauns and Christine Steele):

  • Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2019, screening begins at 7 p.m.
  • Museum of Photographic Arts in Balboa Park – General admission: $25 (veterans and service members: $20)

GI Film Festival San Diego 2019

  • Tuesday, Sept. 24 through Sunday, Sept. 29
  • Museum of Photographic Arts in Balboa Park (for Sept. 24-27), UltraStar Cinemas at Hazard Center (for Sept. 28-29) – General admission: $10 (veterans and service members: $8)
