Gold Coast’s Groundwater Country Music Festival will return in 2021, the free event moving to a new, spring date.
Usually taking place in July, the festival resumes on 12-14 November, bringing country music to Australia’s favourite beachside playground.
The 2019 event, which was awarded the gold award for the Festivals and Events category at the 2019 Australian Tourism Awards, attracted 70,000 people who enjoyed 130 hours of entertainment throughout Broadbeach.
“The Gold Coast has so much to offer to our festival fans,” Festival Director, Mark Duckworth says.
“So, for 2021 we made the decision to move Groundwater to November allowing us to make the most of the sun, surf and sand that sits on the festival’s doorstep.
“We’re excited to be giving Groundwater artists and fans something to look forward to and can’t wait to welcome everyone back to the Gold Coast for another great weekend, celebrating all things country music.”
