Menachem and Mushka Geisinsky lead a Hanukkah Menorah Parade along Soquel Avenue organized by Chabad Center for Jewish Life on Sunday. A caravan of 20 cars traveled through Santa Cruz and Capitola to shine brightness to celebrate the Jewish Festival of Light. The eight-day Jewish celebration known as Hanukkah, which began Thursday at sundown, commemorates the victory of the Jewish rebellion against their Greek-Syrian oppressors in the Maccabean Revolt in the second century B.C.
