President Trump issued pardons or commutations of sentences to 20 people today. Most you’ve never heard of, but some you have.

George Papadopoulos, who served seven days in jail for “misleading” Mueller’s crack team of imbeciles, was one of the recipients. Dutch Attorney Alex van der Zwaaan served 30-days in jail for his role in crafting a lobbying report for Paul Manafort also received a pardon. This, I think, leaves the Russia Hoax with one conviction, that of Paul Manafort.

Other lucky winners are former Representative Duncan Hunter who was about to serve an 11-month sentence for misuse of campaign funds and campaign finance violations; former Representative Steve Stockman was released from prison after serving two years of a ten-year sentence for wire fraud and other financial shenanigans, he will still be required to pay restitution and undergo a period of supervised release, and former Representative Chris Collins was released after serving 2 months of his 26-month sentence for securities fraud.

There were four other pardons in the group that I was very happy to see. Those were of US military veterans and former Blackwater employees Dustin Heard, Evan Liberty, Nick Slatten, and Paul Slough were all pardoned after a decade-long Javert-esque persecution by the Justice Department.

My guess is that there are a lot more to come.
