HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — Experience the beauty and wonder of exotic places as more than 20 countries and cultures showcase their unique heritages at the International Children’s Festival.
The morning will kick off with a welcome from Mayor Donnie Tuck, followed by a parade of nations. The lawn will be covered with vibrant colors as children from each country wave their flags with pride.
There will be two entertainment stages, the Mill Point Park Stage and the International Dance and Drum Stage. Some of the acts include Misha’s Polish Dancers, Hellenic Youth Dancers, Steel Drums of Hampton City Schools, and Seven Cities Tribal Dance.
Dozens of vendors will be on site selling delectable dishes from around the world, as well as jewelry, clothing and art.
The International Children’s Festival is set to take place this Saturday, April 20 at Mill Point Park from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
