While the Electors are voting today across the country and Democrats are even trying to block Republican Electors from getting into the state house, there’s some other pretty significant things going down in Michigan.

A judge has just decided to allow the release of a forensic audit done on the election in Antrim County. You may recall that’s the heavily red pro-Trump county that strangely flipped its votes from President Donald Trump to Joe Biden. The Secretary of State attributed the problem to a election official failing to do an “update” the voting software. So the question, among others, was: why would that failure to act have caused such a flip?

From Detroit News:

After a lawsuit brought by Antrim County resident William Bailey, Circuit Judge Kevin Elsenheimer, a former Republican lawmaker, allowed Allied Security Operations Group and Bailey to take forensic images of the county’s 22 tabulators and review other election-related material.

Their analysis had been under protective order, meaning it couldn’t be released publicly, until Monday when Elsenheimer said he would allow the release with some redactions because of information related to source code.

So they released the report today, and some are already jumping out to spin it.

An assistant attorney general Erik Grill, an assistant attorney general representing the Democratic Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, claimed that the report is “inaccurate, incomplete and misleading.”

And that wasn’t all, six Michigan Republicans want to file new evidence, including a forensic examination.

“This evidence is crucial to a just resolution of the cases pending before this court,” the Michigan Republicans’ attorneys wrote to the U.S. Supreme Court. “The petitioners stand ready to provide the evidence to the court under the procedures it deems appropriate.”

Of course, Dominion Voting Systems is balking at all of this, claiming it’s false information.

So why are they so anxious about it? What does the forensic audit that was released say?

It says the audit tests the “integrity” of the Dominion Voting System to see how if performed in the county and it was conducted by Allied Security Operations Group, LLC, (ASOG).

You can read it at length here.

Its main takeaway finding:

We conclude that the Dominion Voting System is intentionally and purposefully designed with inherent errors to create systemic fraud and influence election results. The system intentionally generates an enormously high number of ballot errors. The electronic ballots are then transferred for adjudication. The intentional errors lead to bulk adjudication of ballots with no oversight, no transparency, and no audit trail. This leads to voter or election fraud. Based on our study, we conclude that The Dominion Voting System should not be used in Michigan. We further conclude that the results of Antrim County should not have been certified.

They claim, among other things, that the error that flipped the votes wasn’t a human error but a machine error built into the software. That’s a big variation from what the state officials are claiming.

So we don’t know if what the report is saying is true. But it’s suggesting there is a broader more systemic potential issue involved in the system, if true. Because if true, then it obviously can affect far more than just Antrim or Michigan, since the machines are used all over the state and in so many places across the country.

Such a claim obviously requires more inspection and review by the authorities.
