Tutu Cute Birthday Party
This is what Elicia shared about the party:
“How adorable is a ballet themed party for a 2-year-old girl? Everly is my last baby so this was my final opportunity to use a play on the word “tutu” to celebrate a 2nd Birthday.
We live in Los Angeles and unfortunately, because of the pandemic, it just wasn’t safe to host a large party with friends so, I streamlined the party into a beautiful setup. I came up with the idea for the paneled backdrop wall and started to sketch it out. I needed a ballet bar so after finding a DIY tutorial my husband and I hit the hardware store and put together this adorable piece which my daughters are completely obsessed with.
A Perfect Spin
However, I wanted to put a spin on the theme because the majority of toddler ballet Birthday parties are pink and neutral. Attempting to be more unique, I added black to the color scheme to give it a chic finish. In order to still keep it girly, I decided to make the large black bow as a statement piece. Where there’s a will, 4 yards of black fabric, and chicken wire, there’s a way!
Live Swans? Yes, Please!
Still unsure of where the other desserts were going to “live” I consulted with @theBalloonCo on creating a custom French cart. Because it was all coming together with a swan lake vibe, I decided (with very little hope it would work out) to check into renting swans. Once I confirmed that I could indeed host two beautiful swans for the afternoon, I had to figure out how to elevate a rather drab splash pool. This was the perfect opportunity to play into the theme and slap a tutu skirt onto it.
A Huge Thanks!
I have to give a huge thanks to my team of vendors for all working together to bring my drawing off paper and straight into reality. The florals from @lovestruckblooms the cake and desserts from @sweetleemade (cup desserts by @sweetsby_sofia) the signs from @creativeamme and the custom rentals and balloons from @theballoonco and photos by @wanderingfreephoto made this Tutu cute party an absolute dream!”
