Organizers of Kazoo! Fest are celebrating the festival’s final year by bringing back their all-time favourite artists along with a selection of unique emerging artists.
Kazoo! Fest will return run from April 16 to April 19 and will showcase over 40 artists that are set to perform in churches, warehouses, gallery spaces, bars, and community spaces in Downtown Guelph.
Highlights include a headlining performance by songwriter Mount Eerie, hip hop artists Cartel Madras, Houston-via-NYC hip hop artist Fat Tony, and Egyptian singer and multi-instrumentalist Nadah El Shazly.
The festival will also feature the return of some Kazoo! Fest fan-favourites such as local hip hop artist Noah23, Toronto folk-art-rock artist Bruce Peninsula, and Constellation Records’ Sandro Perri.
The lineup will also feature some of Canada’s new artists including Luge, Zoon, Nyssa, Ducks Unlimited among many more.
Kazoo! Fest will also hold a number of its popular traditions such as the Kazoo! Print Expo which features comic-makers, zinesters, and printmakers and hold an annual family-friendly pancake breakfast concert at 10C Shared Space.
The weekend festival will feature live visuals, media art, and performance art. A highlight of the festival will be an art installation and comic book launch by Shawn Kuruneru with Jennifer Castle.
