There’s a case out of the Eastern District of New York that is raising a lot of questions.

A man named Douglass Mackey was arrested and charged for “conspiring to spread disinformation designed to deprive individuals of their constitutional right to vote.”

Mackey was a social media influencer who used the name “Rickey Vaughn” and they accused him of spreading disinformation through memes on social media such as suggesting a celebrity supported a candidate or posting a meme with suggesting people could vote for Hillary Clinton by text, “Avoid the line. Vote from home.”

“There is no place in public discourse for lies and misinformation to defraud citizens of their right to vote,” said acting U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York Seth DuCharme. “It is illegal behavior and contributes to the erosion of the public’s trust in our electoral processes,” said William Sweeney Jr., the assistant director of the FBI’s New York field office.

Oh, my so many things to say here!

I’m not going to make a judgement on the case against him because I don’t have all the facts but seriously if you are falling for memes on the internet that suggest you can vote from home by text, maybe you shouldn’t be voting.

Not even talking about this case, but then does that criminalize posting joke memes?

So if they’re going to arrest people for spreading false memes on social media, dare we ask when are they going to actually arrest Hillary Clinton and the DNC who had far more influence in trying to effect the 2016 election by spreading the dossier disinformation they paid for from foreign national that was then passed on and weaponized to the FBI and to the media?

The Democrats disinformation affected far more people and has falsely influenced people even to this day.

So when will the FBI be charging them for a far more harmful and divisive effort?

Twitter users @penelopesire, @roblynnm, and @HurtonMarius also pointed out this video from 2016 which appears to suggest the same kind of thing, is still up, urging Trump supporters to vote by text and the day after the election.

I’m guessing she’s in no danger from the FBI because Democrat.

Beyond Hillary Clinton and the DNC, what about the constant false information from CNN, MSNBC and some of the other media who for example pushed the Russia Collusion hoax for years? What about social media like Twitter trying to stop the story about Hunter Biden just before the election. Why is a meme “interference” in the election when far more serious and significant action isn’t?
