PHOENIX — More than 200,000 people are expected to attend a festival this weekend that has been a mainstay in Fountain Hills.
The 45th annual Fountain Festival of Fine Arts & Crafts will take over the town’s downtown area Friday-Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The three-day expo will showcase the paintings, sculptures, photography and crafts of more than 500 artisans.
Artists who are featured at the expo are selected following a jury process, according to the event website.
Those who attend the expo can buy pieces of art. Several vendors make unique holiday-themed ornaments.
Live music, food vendors and a beer garden will also be available at the event, which is free to enter.
Pets are not allowed at the event.
The inaugural Fountain Festival of Fine Arts & Crafts was held in 1974 and featured only about 60 artists.
