Beginning on Thursday, Nov. 19, the many communities of Dubois County herald in the Christmas season at the Dubois County Museum by displaying their personalized Christmas trees in an open-house setting from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the museum. This is a free admission night at the museum. Seventeen trees will be decorated by communities from Dubois County. These holiday displays will continue till Jan. 3.
The museum will host free admission at the following times: Festival Open House, Nov. 19, from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 12-10, 3 p.m. a Christmas Bazaar with 10 vendors; Sunday, Dec. 13, 1 to 4 p.m., a special day with Joe “Swampy” Schoenbachler carving, Storytime at 1:30 p.m.; and Thursday, Dec. 17, The Wonder of Wassail 5:30 to 8 p.m., for patrons to experience the holiday traditions and decorations and toast the coming of the New Year.
