Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul blasted the 2020 election during a Senate hearing on Wednesday, saying, categorically, “fraud happened.” “The election in many ways was stolen,” he said, adding: the only way it’ll be fixed is by in the future reinforcing the laws.”

Paul was adamant: “We can’t just say, ‘It didn’t happen,” he said, in reference to multiple allegations of election fraud across the county. “We can’t just say, ‘Oh, 4,000 people voted in Nevada that were noncitizens, and we’re just going to ignore it.’”

As Washington Examiner reported, President Trump and Republicans have taken legal action in several states amid accusations of “massive election fraud,” which Trump and his most adamant supporters believe tipped the election to Biden.

Republicans have provided examples of irregularities in key swing states, including MichiganArizonaPennsylvania, and Nevada, and 17 states filed a suit challenging the election results, which the Supreme Court declined to take up.

Also in Wednesday’s hearing, as the Examiner reported, attorney Jesse Binnall testified that Nevada’s election was “inevitably riddled with fraud,” pointing out tens of thousands of votes he said should not have been counted.

As in the case of a forensic audit to test the integrity of the Dominion Voting System and how it performed in Antrim County, Michigan, as reported by my RedState colleague Stu Cvrk — which found a 68 percent error rate in vote calculations — it is reasonable to assume that fraud similar to that found in Nevada, as Binnall testified, likely occurred in other states across the country, as well; the point being while voter fraud and Dominion voting machine miscalculations are not mutually inclusive, irregularities in one state would suggest that irregularities occurred in other states, as well, be that irregularity at the hands of dishonest voters or (purposely?) faulty voting machines.

To the point, as I reported in late November, Paul told Fox News host Martha MacCallum that a “vast majority” of voting must be in-person, moving forward, to limit the potential for election fraud in future elections. “We can’t just say ‘oh, here’s a ballot we’re going to mail to everyone.’ I think it’s ripe for fraud.”

While I agree with Paul in principle, I have my doubts about his then-assertion that a “vast majority” of voters want honest presidential elections. On the contrary, everything we’ve seen in terms of vote irregularities in the 2020 presidential election occurred precisely because the anti-Trump crowd wanted nothing to do with a fair election, preferring instead, Joe Biden — and whatever it took to make it happen.

Still, Paul was right, relative to mail-in voting.

“This was an unprecedented election. Normally, 99% show up in person and we can kind of police that the right people showed up because you don’t have the same people showing up again and again. They sign in, they show an ID, and it’s pretty easy to validate the vote.

“But now we have an election where maybe a third to a half mailed in their ballots. This has never ever happened in our history, so we have to validate … were they the right people?

To Paul’s point, isn’t it common sense? For every X amount of ballots cast, does it not stand to reason that the greater the number of those ballots cast in-person vs. via the mail, the more accurate the overall vote count will be — for multiple reasons?

Of course, it’s common sense — and there is no one who better knows that than the Democrat Party and the organ-grinder-monkey liberal media.
