Rush Limbaugh Addresses the Sidney Powell Situation With Some Inconvenient Truths

Rush Limbaugh is easily the greatest, most prolific conservative commentator in history. Everyone in right-wing media stands on his shoulders, and though cancer looks to take him soon, he’s still showing up for work and doing what he loves. Yesterday, he addressed the Sidney Powell situation and shared some things that may not be convenient, but that I think needed to be said.

Rush specifically addressed the press conference that promised so much and has so far delivered nothing.

You call a gigantic press conference like that — one that lasts an hour — and you announce massive bombshells, then you better have some bombshells. There better be something at that press conference other than what we got…I talked to so many people who were blown away by it, by the very nature of the press conference. They promised blockbuster stuff and then nothing happened, and that’s just, it’s not good.

Rush also specifically noted that it’s tough to disown Sidney Powell now, as the Trump campaign recently did, when she was at that presser as a part of the team. Trump even tweeted as if she were representing him that same day. While it appears she was never officially doing so, there’s no doubt that Trump was onboard with her theories until at least the weekend.

Something shifted though and it appears to be the Newsmax interview she did where she started accusing Georgia Republicans of being paid off as well. That’s not the kind of thing you go say publicly if you aren’t going to provide immediate proof, especially with the balance of the Senate hanging in the palace because of two Georgia runoffs. Rush notes that Powell made these grandiose claims, yet has refused to offer an ounce of evidence. And while some say she is waiting for court, that doesn’t add up when you go on Newsmax and start asserting that Republicans are in on the country’s largest voter fraud scam. You are either waiting for court or you aren’t. Going to the media means people will rightly want to see proof of what you are saying.

Limbaugh smelled a rat here and let that be known on his show. He didn’t totally brush aside Powell, but he also said what needed to be said. Namely, that it’s put up or shut up time. Without even representing Trump, Powell will almost certainly not even have standing to move forward now. If she had proof of 7 million votes being changed, Trump himself would want her on his team. This whole “she’s representing #WethePeople” thing is just way, way too grifty for my liking. The judicial system has rules, and Powell is well aware of them. There’s also zero logical reason for her to be off on her own if she actually had the proof Trump is looking for.

In other words, when Limbaugh speaks, people should listen. He’s earned that much, and he’s on the money here. The time for games and fundraising (as Powell did with her latest public statement) are over. If there’s massive fraud, file the suit and get this thing going. If there’s no, stop misleading people. It’s that simple.
