ST MICHAEL and All Angels Church will be hosting this year’s Eastington Christmas Tree Festival.
Eastington’s 600-year-old historic church building will be hosting the event between December 6 and 8.
The event is being run to raise funds for ongoing maintenance repairs to the church building, to ensure pastoral care is available for those in need, and to enhance the church for the enjoyment of the local community.
The festival’s Director, Chris Amys said: “The Christmas Tree Festival was such a success in 2015 and 2017 that it was decided to run it again this year.
“We are looking forward to bringing together a wide range of local businesses, families and organisations in the festive spirit, showcasing that Eastington is a vibrant village.”
Churchwarden Mike Naylor added: “We hope the festival will prove even more popular than previous years.
“Our aim is to welcome everybody to the church and provide an opportunity to show the local and wider community what goes on in Eastington and to raise money for our church.”
There will be approximately 30 Christmas Trees, all of which will be beautifully decorated and individually themed by local families, households, businesses and organisations.
As part of the festival, visitors will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite Christmas Tree, with prizes being awarded to the winners.
The festival gets underway on Friday December 6 when the exhibition opens between 2pm and 4pm to coincide with the school run for young families.
The exhibition reopens on Saturday and Sunday between 10am and 4pm. The entrance fee is £2 for adults, with children being able to attend for free.
Festive refreshments and a raffle will be available throughout.
To conclude the festival, the Stanley Singers will be performing a festive concert in church on Sunday December 8 at 7pm.
Tickets are £5 per person which includes refreshments during the interval.
