DULUTH,MN – The city of Duluth is getting ready for the third annual event celebrating winter here in the twin ports.
And this year there will be some changes.
The festival is moving from the lakefront to Bayfront park.
It’s also going to be just a one-day event instead of the usual two days.
Organizers hope the changes will make this year’s event even better.
“We decided that we had a little more grounds to work with down there and with the ice rink that the city already maintains, that would be a really good fit, to add lots of other outdoor activities for the day.” Said Alicia Watts the assistant manager of the Duluth parks and recreation department.
Something else new this year: a skating rink.
You can also find a sledding hill, live music, and food vendors.
The festival will be held on February first.
