I wrote a piece the other day on how the Biden team flipped out at an academic who wrote in the Wall Street Journal how in academia, people generally don’t do call themselves “Dr.” outside of the academic setting, that, yes, of course they use it in their academic environment, but not generally outside of that. That’s what Ph.Ds generally think and an Ed.D is considered academically lesser than a Ph.D. This was something that media also generally understood until the issue was suddenly politicized because of Jill Biden.
But that whatever, it was an opinion that the man, Joseph Epstein, was entitled to write in an op-ed. Yet the Biden Team then went after the WSJ and Epstein for daring to express that opinion and his former college scrubbed his name from their website and threw him under the bus in their response statement.
I also wrote another story saying that since her team insisted on that and were going after academics and the WSJ for daring to make comment on it, maybe we should be taking a look at what Jill Biden wrote to “earn’ that Ed.D., the “executive position paper” she wrote. Perhaps it would be kind to say it left a lot to be desired, not to mention, it was replete with poor English, typos and math errors.
According to her husband, Joe Biden, she wanted to get a doctorate because she felt lesser on their mail. “She said, ‘I was so sick of the mail coming to Sen. and Mrs. Biden. I wanted to get mail addressed to Dr. and Sen. Biden.’ That’s the real reason she got her doctorate,” Joe Biden has said.
That’s a pretty sad reason for wanting to get your doctorate, just to have the title and have people address you that way. But it’s clearly something that she’s insecure about since she keeps insisting that people call her “Dr.”
As Townhall explains, Tucker Carlson took on the the issues and her dissertation in some scathing comments. On Monday, he suggested she had a “very bad case of status anxiety.” On Wednesday night, he went after the dissertation itself. “Dr. Jill can’t write, she can’t really think clearly either,” he said.

Carlson not only criticized Biden, he criticized the college for deeming this “crap scholarship,” saying that it was “embarrassing to our entire system of high eduction, to the nation itself.” Carlson pointed out that he wasn’t sexist for pointing out the her dissertation’s deficiencies, saying that he called her husband dumb all the time. Oofa.
Just imagine, had her team not gone after the WSJ and that guy for stating his own opinion, we might never have looked at the dissertation and seen what a mess it was. Good job, guys, that’s the boomerang coming back at you when you try to suppress opinion or the Streisand effect.
