Tucker Carlson Chastises Media for Trying to Suppress Americans’ Questions About Virus Vaccines, Rather Than Answering Them

As we reported earlier, liberal media was not at all happy with Tucker Carlson for his remarks about people having questions about the Wuhan coronavirus vaccine.

Of course, liberal media is never happy with anything Carlson has to say but they were especially peeved, twisting his words to be anti-vaccine which was not at all what he was saying.

What he was saying is that Americans have natural questions about the virus, that one should recognize those questions and want to answer them, to assuage people’s concerns.

Instead, as Carlson notes, the media reaction is to shut down any questions.

From Fox News:

In this country, we control our own bodies. They’re always telling us that. But now the rules have changed. On the question of the coronavirus vaccine, our leaders are definitely not pro-choice. Their view is, “Do what you’re told and don’t complain.” No uncomfortable questions. Those aren’t just suggestions, they’re rules, and Silicon Valley plans to enforce them.

Twitter has announced a new policy to censor any unauthorized inquiry about the vaccine or, as the company put it, “false or misleading narratives about COVID-19 vaccinations.”

Just like with questions about Hunter Biden or the election, they’re going to stop questioning by trying to shut it down rather than answering questions or addressing problems that might actually exist.

“Censorship will not convince a single person to take the vaccine,” he argued. “Instead, it will have the opposite effect. If you wanted to roll out a national vaccination campaign, the first thing you would need after the vaccine itself is social trust.”

But censorship, he added, “is the enemy of social trust.”

“Explain the benefits, be honest about the risks,” Tucker said. Don’t try to shut down honest questions and concerns that Americans might have.

So for example, when a nurse is being interviewed by media mere minutes after she got the vaccine and passes out, it naturally doesn’t leave the best impression in the minds of the people who see that. But it’s a common vasovagal response and not an uncommon thing to have people faint after vaccination. Such a reaction doesn’t have to do with the vaccine itself.

There are also going to be a certain percentage of folks who have a bad reaction to the actual vaccine, as there might be with any vaccine, like the nurse in Alaska who had a serious anaphylactic reaction to the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine and had to be sent to the intensive care unit.

From NY Times:

Although the Moderna and Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines are based on the same type of technology and similar in their ingredients, it is not clear whether an allergic reaction to one would occur with the other. Both consist of genetic material called mRNA encased in a bubble of oily molecules called lipids, although they use different combinations of lipids.

Dr. Offit said that in both vaccines, the bubbles are coated with a stabilizing molecule called polyethylene glycol that he considered a “leading contender” for triggering an allergic reaction. He stressed that more investigation was needed.

Pfizer’s trial did not find any serious adverse events caused by the vaccine, although many participants did experience aches, fevers and other side effects. The Alaska reactions were assumed to be related to the vaccine because they occurred so quickly after the shot.

So people who have a proclivity to severe allergic reactions should probably ask their doctors and evaluate their particular circumstances.

Carlson points out the strange phenomena of medical ‘professionals’ such as MSNBC’s Dr. Vin Gupta saying even after you took the vaccine that you couldn’t be assured you could return to normal.

From Fox News:

GUPTA: Just because you get vaccinated with that second dose does not mean you should be participating in things like traveling in the middle of an out-of-control pandemic or that you’re liberated from masks. Everything still applies until all of us get the two-dose regimen … Don’t let your guard down just because you got vaccinated.

It may mean he’s being overly cautious, accounting for the fact that it takes a little time after you take the vaccine to develop immunity and/or because it’s new we need to be assured the vaccine works fully.

But yes, isn’t the point of the vaccine to return to normal? If you are vaccinated, doesn’t that mean that you can’t get it or give it? Otherwise, what are we talking about when we’re talking about a “vaccine” here? So what are they talking about? Yes, you’re vaccinated, but hey, we just want to control your lives a little bit more?
