The week-long Walton-BSJA Sports Festival 2020 will get underway with the table tennis discipline Wednesday at Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Indoor Stadium in Dhaka.
Along with table tennis, chess, carom, badminton and call bridge will also be on the roster for the participating Bangladesh Sports Journalists Association members.
There will be doubles events alongside the singles in table tennis, badminton and carom and the winners will be awarded cash prizes and trophies.
Based on points accumulated throughout the Sports Festival, one prolific winner will be rewarded with The Best accolade.
The events will be held maintaining all health protocols during the pandemic, with the badminton matches taking place at Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Indoor Stadium and the carom, chess and call bridge events at the BSJA office, adjacent to the Bangabandhu National Stadium Ivy Rahman Swimming Complex.
This is the first time BSJA is holding an indoor games event with association from Walton.
The Sports Festival details were announced in a press conference Monday at the Dutch Bangla Auditorium of Bangladesh Olympic Association.
