The ninth festival of Ukrainian culture and traditions WINTER ROMANTIK FEST will take place on Christmas in the Ukrainian Carpathians, in the resort town of Yaremche.
“This year we will promote Ukrainian Christmas traditions and the incredible beauty of the Carpathians. The times of the pandemic dictate their own rules, so this year the festival will be held in an updated format – with a number of restrictions and distancing,” says Ivan Gavron, founder of the festival and owner of Romantik Spa Hotel.
For the Holy Evening, together with the hosts Ruslan Senichkin and Lyudmila Barbir (TV channel “1 + 1”), they plan to cook kutya at the festival according to old Hutsul recipes. Children will take part in the painting of Christmas gingerbread. The guests, in turn, will learn how to make clothes and accessories.
This year the festival will be visited by Ukrainian stars: singer and actress Vira Kekelia, singers Arsen Mirzoyan and Viktor Pavlik, actress Olga Sumska, actor Vitaly Borisyuk, singers Tonya Matvienko and Natalia Buchinska and others.
The celebrities are already actively preparing for the New Year holidays – they order exclusive jewelry and outfits from fashion designers. Since, traditionally, the best outfit of the evening will be chosen at the festival by secret ballot.
“Over the years of the WINTER ROMANTIK FEST festival, we have prepared 700 liters of kutia and over 10 thousand dumplings. We set the record for the longest Hutsul sausage – 27 meters. We taught our guests how to make a real Christmas star. Guests and participants of the festival listened to and learned more than 100 carols. Together we sang the spiritual hymn of Ukraine “Great God, Save Ukraine for Us” to the music of Mykola Lysenko. More than 3 thousand of our guests specially for the festival dressed up in national clothes. Sports achievements of the event – 17 medals and hundreds of kilometers of ski slopes routes of the Bukovel resort”, sums up the founder of the festival, hotelier and restaurateur Ivan Gavron.
